Invitation Tips

A client had a recent question about wedding invitations that I thought I’d share.

Question: Do wedding invitations normally include the invitations for the rehearsal dinner and the day after BBQ (they decided to have this instead of brunch) or are they separate?

Answer: First off, the BBQ sounds like a great idea! :-) Typically, each invite is totally separate. So the rehearsal dinner invites and BBQ (or brunch) invites don’t have to be as formal and can actually have a fun “themed” twist to them, whereas the wedding invitation is more on the formal side.

Hope this helps!

Fabulous Wedding Decor

Want to ensure that your guests are wowed by your fabulous wedding decor? It just doesn’t happen! Lots of work goes into the decor process to get the “WOW” effect. Not sure where to start? Here’s some tips:
Create an idea portfolio or design board. Start compiling ideas by cutting out pictures from magazines or printing them from online. Magazines are a great way to get inspiration! My favorite mags are Martha Stewart Weddings and Wedding Flowers. After a couple pages in your portfolio or design board, you’ll start to see a pattern develop of colors and themes that are your favorites!
I love creating design boards for my clients. Create your own design board at bridalcanvas.com

La Grande Maison Bridal Show

We had a great time this past Sunday at the Grand Opening bridal show at La Grande Maison. We, along with about 40 preferred vendors, were setup on the 30-acre property located in beautiful in Mebane, NC. Our booth was a hit with the vendors! Everyone loved making their own candy box to-go! :-)
We had the privilege to be setup near the pool and gazebo area.
Here are some pictures of the area from La Grande Maison’s website:
